What I’ve learned on meditation so far:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 💭You can’t pause your thoughts or keep your mind from thinking. Try not to analyze your progress on whether or not you’re able to “shut off” your brain. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 🌬Bring your attention to the rise and fall of your breath, without judgement or trying to change it. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 🧘🏻‍♀️Get comfortable in the position you choose. You don’t have to sit cross legged if it’s uncomfortable to you.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ✨It’s okay if you don’t experience uplifting insight, peace or anything. It doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ✔️Stay consistent by simply doing it. Daydreaming of our walks at Asilomar Beach💙⁣ ⁣ It’s definitely easy for me to get caught up waiting for the next step. I often find myself missing the mountains and wondering where the universe will take me next. ⁣ ⁣ Sometimes I have to remind myself to be more present. ⁣ ⁣ Today, I’m grateful for the fact that I can paint my seascapes from my own photos and recollections of my own memories walking the beach. ⁣⁣ Introspection can be nice, and it can also be very very anxiety provoking... mostly because it never ends. And there’s a LOT more time for that right now, amirite? For me, I get caught up in the pressure to make good use of my time. All the time. It’s exhausting to have your mind going a thousand miles a minute. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ If you’re feeling exhausted, anxious, down or lost throughout all this uncertainty- I see you. There’s no right or wrong way to handle quarantine. It’s okay to feel weird. It’s been a long week of work, errands, to-do lists and more adulting, so today is for play 🙃 Found this hidden wooded area tucked back from the road Koda and I usually have our walks on and it’s the coolest little tree playground. She enjoyed some sticks and I climbed the trees :)
